Every child’s therapeutic journey is unique. The length of time your child may need therapy depends on several factors, including their age, personality, the challenges they're facing, and how they respond to the process.
As a general guideline, many children benefit from between 20–40 sessions, though some may need more or fewer. We can talk more about this in our initial meeting and continue to check in during regular parent reviews.
It’s completely natural to want to know what happens in your child’s play therapy sessions. However, the content of the sessions is confidential, unless there are safeguarding concerns.
That said, I deeply value the caregiver-child relationship. During our review meetings (every 6–8 weeks), I’ll share general themes that may be emerging in your child’s play, how they’re getting on emotionally, and offer suggestions for how you can support them at home. This keeps you informed while also respecting your child’s privacy and autonomy in the therapeutic space.
Each 45-minute play therapy session costs £60.
Parent or carer review meetings (held approximately every 6–8 weeks) cost £50.
I currently offer sessions on Thursdays at the White House in Epsom.
The centre is conveniently located in the town centre, with excellent transport links nearby.
There is a comfortable waiting area for parents and carers during your child’s session. If you have any questions about getting to the centre or accessing the space, feel free to get in touch — I’ll be happy to help.
If you feel ready to move forward, please complete the contact form to begin the referral process.
The first step is a parent or caregiver consultation, where we’ll talk about your child’s needs, go over any questions you have about the process, and explore what might help your child feel safe and supported as they begin therapy.
After this, we’ll arrange a weekly time for your child’s sessions to begin.
If you're still unsure whether play therapy is the right fit, or if you’d like to talk things through, you're very welcome to get in touch for a free 15-minute phone consultation.
I generally work with children between the ages of 4 and 12. However, I take a developmental approach, so age isn’t the only factor — I consider each child’s unique needs and stage of development.
If you're unsure whether play therapy is right for your child, or if you’d like to talk about your specific situation, feel free to get in touch. I’d be happy to explore this with you.
